Mitch and Shaz’s powder room is a standout space that blends soft architectural curves with bold material choices. Designed to feel both intimate and elevated, the room uses texture, tone, and carefully selected fixtures to create a refined yet inviting atmosphere.
A Sculptural Space Defined by Curves
The defining feature of this powder room is the curved wall, finished with vertically stacked tiles that wrap the space in a soft, continuous form. This design choice adds movement and visual interest, transforming a compact room into something far more dynamic, reflecting a key renovation rule of using shape and texture to create impact without overcrowding the space.
At the centre, the pedestal basin enhances the sculptural feel, working seamlessly with the curved backdrop to create a cohesive focal point. The warm, earthy tones further soften the space, balancing the clean lines of the fixtures.
Minimalist Tapware with Maximum Impact
Positioned above the basin, the SYMMETRY In-Wall Top Lever Assemblies & 220mm Spout Kit Gunmetal delivers a sleek and modern finish. Its wall-mounted design keeps the benchtop area clear, reinforcing the uncluttered aesthetic while enhancing everyday functionality.
The gunmetal finish introduces contrast against the lighter tiles, adding depth without overpowering the overall palette. It’s a subtle detail that plays a big role in tying the design together, highlighting the importance of consistent finishes across all touchpoints.
Thoughtful Details That Elevate Functionality
Beyond the main focal point, every element in the powder room has been carefully considered. The SYMMETRY Robe Hook Gunmetal and SYMMETRY Double Toilet Roll Holder Gunmetal continue the cohesive finish throughout the space, ensuring even the smallest details feel intentional.
The toilet suite features the JASPER Tornado Floor Pan Toilet Gloss White, paired with the Concealed Pneumatic In Wall Cistern 80mm for a streamlined, space-saving solution. This is complemented by the OLLIE Push Plate for Pneumatic Cistern Gunmetal 236x152mm, which ties back perfectly to the rest of the gunmetal fixtures.
A Perfect Balance of Form and Function
Mitch and Shaz’s powder room proves that smaller spaces can still deliver strong design impact. By combining curved architecture, textured finishes, and a consistent material palette, and following simple renovation principles like balance, functionality, and cohesion, the result is a room that feels both modern and timeless.
Every element works together to create a space that is not only visually striking but also highly functional, making it a true highlight within the home.
