The main shower outlets are fixed shower heads on a wall arm or ceiling dropper, hand showers on a hose, shower rails that combine a hand shower with a sliding rail, and twin rails with both. Many bathrooms combine a fixed head with a hand shower for flexibility.

Choose outlets from the same range or profile as your mixer, such as SPIN for rounded tapware or QUADRA for square styles, and pick the same finish. Keeping shape and finish consistent across your mixer, arm, head and elbow gives the shower a designed, cohesive look.

You don't need both, but many people prefer it: a fixed head gives a relaxing overhead shower, while a hand shower makes rinsing, cleaning and bathing kids easier. A twin shower rail combines both in one unit from a single water point.

Shower heads, arms, droppers, rails and elbows must be installed by a licensed plumber for the warranty to apply. Outlet positions are set during the plumbing rough-in, so decide on your shower layout before walls and ceilings are lined and tiled.
