Hipwell Haus x Highgrove Bathrooms

Newcastle-based interior designer, Tim Neve, is currently taking on his biggest renovation project to date. He is documenting the process of transforming an almost 100-year-old Art Deco warehouse into an impressive home on Instagram.

Titled Hipwell Haus, the original interiors were in a state of disrepair. But that only inspired Tim to turn the blank canvas into something truly unique. His plans to breathe new life into the historic premises have started to take shape, firstly with his transformation of three bathrooms, including a chic powder room and a massive master ensuite.

In the first room reveals, Tim shares the process of transforming the rundown original bathrooms into distinctive designer spaces.

He says, “I love designing bathrooms, but there's so many decisions to be made! So it's always a good idea to visit the Highgrove Bathrooms showroom, and walk away inspired by the latest options.”

Tim also enjoyed using the Highgrove Bathrooms Augmented Reality feature of the website to plan his wet areas, and test the look of the items in each space.

The finished result is a feast for the senses. Mixing warm rich tones, the wet areas of the home now exude luxe hotel vibes.

The Master Ensuite carves out around 30m2 of floor space from the home. Matched with its 3.1 metre soaring ceilings, the architecture of the space alone is dramatic.

Statement bathtubs including the impressive ROTONDO 1.35m circular tub, and the 250kg concrete CRETE bathtub become undeniable centrepieces of the rooms.

His fave Highgrove Bathrooms piece? “Items like my fluted timber KIMBERLEY vanities are so spot on trend, but the price tag is perfect for any renovator's budget. I guess that’s why they call it affordable luxury!”

OLLIE Rimless Wall Hung Pans were the choice through the toilet spaces, their sleek modern form hang effortlessly against an array of designer tile selections.

Tim’s unexpected combinations in material selections, landing on the creative outcome. There’s more than one visual hero in each room – but rather than the effect causing overwhelm, the spaces become a delight as you discover more features in each space. Tim has retained sections of internal walls featuring the exposed 100-year-old brick but softened the looks with floor-to-ceiling sheer linen curtains.

Renovating just one bathroom can seem like an overwhelming task at first, but Tim said, “I can't go past the Highgrove Bathrooms service, their expert team is always on hand to explain their product range, and keep me updated with availabilities and lead times on products - which is vital in any renovation project.”

The bathrooms are only the first of many rooms to be revealed in the near future, including bedrooms, living, and dining spaces across the sprawling 2-storey home.
