Reno Gals Queenslander Makeover

Welcome to the Queensland designer home, created by the renovation experts, Angie Lonergan and Holly Doherty known as the Reno Gals. Formerly a full-time nanny and nurse, these two have been completing renovations for the past 7 years and this fourth project is the biggest one yet. Raising the house and building an entire 2nd floor, Angie and Holly have completely re-imagined this house.

Within the newly renovated home, the girls have created three contemporary and stylish bathrooms, a crisp and airy kitchen and a handy butler’s pantry all featuring Highgrove Bathrooms superior quality products. The girls have taken their interior design expertise to the next level as each bathroom is bright, practical and unique, featuring soft whites to create an airy feel and striking brushed brass highlights that cohesively radiate throughout the home.

Ensuite

Light-filled and beaming, this expansive ensuite ticks all of the boxes. The soft white tiles around the room allow statement pieces to make an impact on the space. Entering the room, you see the generous MOANA Freestanding Bath, with its smooth curves and soothing, matte white finish, there is enough room for two to take a soak, or for someone to lay back and relax. Spot the beautiful GLENROWAN Marri timber wall hung vanity sitting in the centre of the room, this organic and bespoke piece brings warmth and texture to the ensuite and a lot of storage space. Shimmering across the room, the golden hues of the striking SPIN brushed brass fittings and accessories highlight key areas of the bathroom.

Main Bathroom

We love the neutral colour palette used in this main bathroom, the choice of kit kat and marble tiles, both add dimension to the room. This space has everything you need and more, with a large wet area at the back of the room that features a luxury shower and freestanding bath for the ultimate relaxation. Enriched with even more brushed brass highlights, the golden shimmer from the SPIN Tapware and Accessories provides warmth and character throughout this room combined with soft matte whites and bold curves, all keeping this cohesive design flowing from room to room. The star of the bathroom is the vast skylight sitting above the centre of the room and casting an organic glow across this stunning space.

Downstairs Bathroom

Achieving a dreamy and relaxing aesthetic, Holly and Angie have designed another unique bathroom design. The subtle colour of the shower feature tile evokes a calmness in the space that blends well with the rest of the light palette, allowing the hues of brushed brass to shine throughout the room. This shower layout, similar to the last bathroom, allows guests to switch between the soothing full body rush of water from the waterfall shower head or a personal shower experience with the EDEN Hand Shower on a SPIN Shower Elbow with Hand Shower Bracket, so guests can keep the water away from their hair, or focus on certain soapy areas. Boasting curves in the vanity area, our EDEN Bench Mount Basin and SPIN Progressive Hob Mixer and Spout are picture perfect and assist the cohesive flow of the design into this bathroom.

Kitchen

Creating a crisp and clean kitchen makes the area feel fresh and airy. The sophisticated and practical brushed brass ZARA Pull-Out Sink Mixer adds a pop of colour and shine to the space, while the timber compliments the room and adds dimension. A key feature of this huge kitchen area is the double doors leading to the outdoor entertaining area, filling the kitchen with light and meaning you can entertain your guests whilst preparing food in the kitchen.

Butler’s Pantry and Laundry

With such a large area located in and around the kitchen, Angie and Holly were able to create a combined butler’s pantry and laundry just off of the kitchen area. Having the butler’s pantry means the kitchen will remain tidy and versatile due to its additional sink area and storage solutions. The butler’s pantry and laundry have you seeing double due to their similar design, both using a classic white and the SPIN Gooseneck Sink Mixer, again, keeping the consistency of the warm Queensland design seamlessly flowing throughout these spaces.
